Anti-virus industrys bte noire Tavis Ormandy to enter the lions den

The Virus Bulletin conference is being held in Denver, Colorado, next month. Google vulnerability researcher Tavis Ormandy, the bte noire of the anti-virus industry, is going to be there. He has been accused of disclosing flaws in software products, and publishing exploit code that could be used by malicious hackers, without giving vendors a decent chance at fixing the problem. In 2010 he gave Microsoft only five days to fix a security vulnerability before going public with details of how hackers could write malicious code to exploit it.”]
