Another Version of DDoS Hits Banks

Last week, DDoS attacks were waged against two mid-tier banks by bombarding them with requests for PDF document downloads. The attacks could have been waged as a way to test their effectiveness, but no one knows for sure. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has warned smaller banks to have their guards up. The OCC has issued an education campaign aimed at the community banks, as well as the U.S. banking community. DDoS-denial-of-service attacks are continuing, but not everyone is heeding warning.”]
