New side-channel attacks have been disclosed in AMD CPUs, however AMD said that they are not new. AMD said it does not believe these are new speculation-based attacks and did not offer any mitigations. The Take A Way attack leverages the way AMD stores memory, through the L1-data (L1D) which refers to the data cache and pools of memory that contain the leak-able data within CPUs. AMD’s processors were introduced in AMD processors released between 2011 and 2019.
