U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission filed a complaint against Amazon over defective products sold on its site. The consumer safety regulator says Amazon is legally responsible to recall the products. Amazon says it has already removed the products from its store and offered full refunds. The complaint was approved in a 3-1 vote by the CPSC in a vote on Wednesday. The retailer says it offered to “expand [its] capabilities to handle recalls for all products sold in our store, regardless of whether those were sold or fulfilled by Amazon or third-party sellers””]
