Poland’s LOT Polish Airlines says a cyber-attack disrupted its ability to issue flight plans. The disruption was caused by a denial-of-service attack against the airline’s flight-plan systems at Warsaw Chopin Airport. LOT spokesman: Passengers and airplanes were never at any risk from the disruption. Aviation security expert: “Flight plan doesn’t just go into the system and take over the airplane,” but pilots must approve and enter the plans into airplanes’ flight systems – in different formats for every different type of airplane.”]
