Aetna Breach Case Gets Messier

Aetna has settled two lawsuits related to a 2017 privacy breach involving HIV drug information. Experts say the case should be the “poster child” for good vendor management practices. The privacy breach has already cost health insurers about $20 million in legal settlements. But two new legal battles related to the breach are now playing out in federal courts in the wake of the incident.
