Aerojet Rocketdyne Pays $9M to Settle Cybersecurity Lawsuit

Aerojet Rocketdyne will pay $9 million to settle a lawsuit from a former executive. Brian Markus accused the U.S. rocket engine manufacturer of shirking its cybersecurity responsibilities even after it was hacked by nation-state threat actors. The lawsuit made it all the way to trial earlier this year, but the parties reached a settlement during the second day of proceedings. The company is not admitting guilt as part of the settlement. Last year, it obtained nearly $2.2 billion in revenue.”]
