Adobe demoed a build of Flash Media Server using the Apple-developed HTTP Live Streaming protocol. The new protocol uses H.264-encoded video and would finally bring Flash media streaming on iOS devices. The real winners here are smartphone users, most of whom ultimately don’t care how their streaming media gets to them, as long as it does and it’s fast.
