Acer’s US ecommerce website was breached over the last year and customer credentials including names, addresses, payment card numbers, expiry dates, and three-digit security codes, were stolen. Details of the nature of the attack were not provided, but Acer has asked all its customers to keep a watch on their account statements for irregularities. A cybersecurity firm has been hired by the company to probe the hack and relevant payment card providers have been alerted, Yahoo! Tech reports.
