Ransomware gang believed to be Russian-speaking threat actor. Group-IB: OldGremlin has been behind nine campaigns between May and August. Attackers use custom backdoors to download additional payloads and hold system hostage for $50,000. Group says group has targeted only Russian companies so far, which was typical for many Russian adversaries, such as Silence and Cobalt, at the beginning of their criminal path. The group has been linked to a series of campaigns since March, including a successful attack against a clinical diagnostics laboratory.
