Bloomberg reports that Apple is working on a MagSafe battery pack for at least a year. The device would attach to the back of newer iPhones and would be embedded in an entire phone case. A reference to a battery pack in the iOS 14.5 app was reportedly found in MacRumors. The report also hints that Apple might be a tad hesitant where batteries and charging are concerned. It’s possible that a Magsafe battery pack might never actually make it to market. But even if it turns out to be vaporware, it doesnt look like MagSafe is going away any time soon.”]
