A hacker named “smea” hacked the Lovense Hush sex toy at DEF CON in Las Vegas. He exploited a vulnerability found in the Bluetooth dongle used by the sex toy and its accompanying social software. The talk highlighted the question of whether it should be considered a sex crime to hack a buttplug and issue it commands absent the owners consent.
