The Obama Administration is forming a new interagency panel to focus on privacy and Internet policy. One goal of the new group is to ensure a common set of Internet policy principles across the government. The new panel will include representatives from more than 18 departments, agencies and federal offices. The panel was created “as part of the Obama Administration’s commitment to promoting the vast economic opportunity of the Internet and protecting individual privacy,” an announcement says.
