U.S. Army ordered that the use of drones made by Chinese manufacturer DJI be discontinued in 2017. Now, a second classified memo has been released by the National Security Archives. The memo raises cybersecurity concerns about how cyberspies could intercept encrypted video and other encrypted data. A skilled hacker could also take control of the drone, the memo says. A DJI spokesperson says the company has made security improvements since the memo surfaced in 2017, including adding advanced data encryption features and adding the ability for users to eliminate connection between the drone and the internet.”]
