Hackers stole Credit Card details from 63 ‘Barnes & Noble’ stores

Hackers used keypads in over 60 Barnes & Noble stores to gain credit card data. The company says it caught the problem in mid-September and it’s safe to use credit and debit cards at its stores. Hackers had already made purchases on some customer credit cards, the New York Times reported. The scheme didn’t affect any Nook tablets or mobile apps, the chain’s member database, or any College Bookstores. Federal authorities are investigating the issue. B&N says it is working with banks and card issuers to identify compromised accounts.
