55% of large companies are not effectively stopping cyberattacks, finding and fixing breaches quickly, according to findings from Accenture’s State of Cybersecurity Resilience study. Ryan LaSalle, senior managing director at Accenture Security, attributes this to organizations being driven by compliance obligations, and not by business strategy, nor the threat landscape. He recommends that organizations focus on the security investments they’ve already made, rather than adding more tools to the cyberattackers’ arsenal.
