The National Institute of Standards and Technology has issued a draft of a self-assessment tool. The Baldrige Cybersecurity Excellence Builder is designed to help enterprises gauge the effectiveness of cybersecurity risk management initiatives. NIST is seeking public comments from stakeholders before publishing a final version of the tool on Dec. 15. The tool’s assessment rubric helps users determine whether their cybersecurity maturity level is reactive, early, mature or mature, according to NIST. The completed evaluation can lead to an action plan for upgrading cybersecurity practices and implementing those improvements.”]
