High Roller Attacks: How Banks Respond

High Roller attacks target high-balance, “high-roller” accounts, catching banks off guard. The attacks use conventional methods to load malware, such as Zeus or SpyEye, onto users’ PCs. But from there, the attacks take a turn from the norm by using virtual command-and-control servers in the cloud to schedule fraudulent wire transfers. Some banking and security experts say the attacks do not pose a significant new threat. They point to the need for layered security controls, experts say.”]
