Russian-linked group behind SolarWinds supply chain attack targeted Microsoft’s customer support system. Microsoft attributes this latest intrusion to an attack group that the company calls Nobelium. Nobelium is the group behind the supply chain hack that affected 18,000 users of Orion network monitoring platform. The group also targeted government agencies, nongovernment organizations and think tanks as well as some financial services firms. Most of the threat activity – about 45% – focused on Microsoft customers in the U.S., but businesses and organizations in Germany and Canada were also targeted.”]
