Fraud Prevention Requires Mind Shift

Adam Dolby heads up online security and authentication systems for Gemalto North America. Dolby says banking institutions in the U.S. have for too long focused on regulatory compliance, not security. He says some of the steps put in place to comply with regulatory mandates have helped fraudsters to compromise transactions. The “CSI phenomenon” is like trying to act against crime but starting with a dead body and investigating backward, says Dolby. The survey found 75 percent of respondents are learning about fraud from their customers, he says.”]
