FBI Warns of New Fraud Scam

The FBI says a malware called Gameover can defeat several forms of dual-factor authentication. The FBI has tracked fraudulent wire transfers routed to high-end jewelry stores. Money mules are hired to visit these stores, where funds have been fraudulently transferred, go to pick up jewels worth the amount of the fake wire. DDoS attacks are designed to slow down the businesses defrauded, slowing down the banks’ response, expert says.
