Equifax’s May Mega-Breach Might Trace to March Hack

Hackers responsible for mega-breach at Equifax may not have penetrated its systems in May, as the credit bureau previously stated. Hackers may have used a “whoami” command on March 10 to find vulnerabilities, an Equifax spokeswoman says. The timing of the March 10 intrusion places it just two days after Cisco published research of a major major enterprise platform flaw. 143 million U.S. consumers’ names, Social Security numbers, birthdates, addresses, addresses and driver’s license numbers were exposed.”]
