Apparel Retailer Buckle Breached by Card-Stealing Malware

Retailer Buckle says malware may have been used to steal payment card details for nearly six months. Malware was active on its point-of-sale systems from Oct. 28, 2016, until April 14, 2017. Buckle has 450 stores across the U.S. and is EMV-compliant with EMV chip-and-signature standards. The retailer has not said how or when it first learned of the breach, and it couldn’t be immediately reached for comment. The malware collected the card number, expiration date and holder’s name.”]
