Mail.Ru Says Leaked Credentials 99.982% Invalid

Russian email service Mail.Ru says virtually all of the leaked data for its users is invalid. Security firm’s report that it obtained 1.17 billion email credentials from a young Russian hacker is “media hype,” company says. Yahoo has yet to respond to the report, but Google, Yahoo, Microsoft have dismissed the claims. Microsoft has emphasized its related defenses on leaked credentials, but hasn’t commented on the leaked credentials. The data set included login credentials for multiple email services, including Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo.”]
