Russia appears to have tried to tie fate of Naama Issachar with that of Aleksey Burkov, a Russian who faces U.S. hacking charges. Russia has never extradited one of its citizens to face computer crime charges abroad. While Moscow’s counter-extradition strategy might make for good PR, thus it’s done nothing to keep their citizens from ending up serving time in the US.
