Citigroup and Citibank websites were hit last week with denial-of-service attacks, allegedly launched by Anonymous. Hackers with Anonymous have claimed to be behind the attacks. The same hackers are believed to be connected to last week’s attack on Banco de Brasil. Sites run by HSBC Holdings, Banco BMG and Banco Bradesco also had been hit by Anonymous, according to The New York Times. The Brazilian Federation of Banks said it was pushing for a law to criminalize electronic attacks and fraud.”]
