ABA Used as Lure in Malware Spam

The American Bankers Association is the latest group to be used as bait in phishing emails. Pushdo/Cutwail/Zeus gang has been using the ABA’s name to spread malware. The ABA issued an alert to its members on Jan. 26. Other well-known names in the industry have been used by hackers to try and spread malware, including FDIC, US Treasury, IRS and many financial institutions. If you click on the email’s embedded link, it takes them to a page that says an unauthorized transaction was billed to their bank card.”]
