Bredolab: October, 2010

At its height, the Bredolab botnet was responsible for 30 million infections and 3.6 billion spam e-mails daily. Dutch cyber crime unit seized the command and control infrastructure used by the botnet and arrested the man believed to be its operator. Following the take-down, infected computers were redirected to a Web page with instructions on removing the Trojan. Mobile becomes a prime phishing attack vector, hackers will increasingly employ machine learning in attacks and cloud will increasingly be seen as fertile ground for compromise.”]
