The FTC is sponsoring a contest to develop an Internet of Things (IoT) patching tool for device hardware. Entrants may design a physical device, app or cloud-based service it wont matter to the judges, as long as it works. The best tool will win $25,000. Entries are due by May 22, and the FTC will accept them as early as March 1. Winners will be announced on July 27, 2017. The FTC has been issuing guidance related to IoT hardware devices for the past two years.”]
