Tens of flaws in Samsung SmartThings Hub expose smart home to attack

Cisco Talos researchers have discovered 20 vulnerabilities in Samsung SmartThings Hub controller. The vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to execute OS commands or other arbitrary code on affected devices. The Samsung Hub is a central controller that could be used to manage a range of internet-of-things (IoT) devices in a smart home, including smart plugs, LED light bulbs, thermostats, and cameras. Samsung has addressed the flaws and updates have been pushed out automatically, according to Talos.”]
