Expedia-owned travel website Orbitz says 880,000 payment cards hit in data breach

Orbitz, the travel website owned by Expedia announced on Tuesday that it has suffered a security breach that affected hundreds of thousands of users. The exposed data includes full name, date of birth, gender, phone number, email address, physical and billing address, and payment card data. The company discovered the breach on March 1 following an internal investigation, Orbitz hired security experts to investigate the issue and identify the flaws exploited by hackers. Expedias shares fell as much as 1.9 percent to $108.99.”]
