Twitter invites us to say goodbye to passwords, use Digits instead

Twitter is introducing a suite of tools aimed at remaking mobile apps and getting rid of passwords. Users will soon be able to sign up to their apps with a one-time confirmation code via SMS. In many countries, potential Tweeters dont have an email address to use when signing up for an account, says Twitter senior product manager Michael Ducker. Ducker: ‘I go to dinner parties and people say, ‘Oh, you work in tech? Can you get rid of the password?'”]
