Cisco warns of big remote management hole in tiny routers

Cisco’s DPC3825 and DPC3925 routers have bug in web server. Remote code execution bug could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to exploit a buffer overflow and cause arbitrary code execution. A fix is available, but it’s not clear if you can turn off the web-facing interface. Free Sophos UTM Home Edition offers full-blown anti-virus software for Windows on up to 12 PCs for $0.99 per PC or laptop.
