Heartbleed jabs its first victims: UK parents site Mumsnet, Canadian tax agency

UK parenting site Mumsnet and Canada Revenue Agency are the first known victims of the Heartbleed OpenSSL vulnerability to experience data breaches. Site administrators were notified of the vulnerability on Wednesday and patched it the same day. Site founder Justine Robertss own username and password were used to post a message online on Friday. Site says that intruders could have logged in using stolen credentials and gained access to members posting history, personal messages and personal profiles. The Canadian Revenue Agency has announced that 900 social insurance numbers (SINs) were stolen over a six-hour period.”]
