An unknown Google Chrome user was alerted to a validly signed Google certificate that did not in fact belong to Google. The bogus *.google.com certificate was issued by an intermediate Certificate Authority that gained its authority from Turkish CA TURKTRUST. Google has been blocking certificates signed by the mis-issued intermediate certificates for Chrome users since December 26th. Microsoft issued an advisory today revoking all certificates. Apple has not commented on when or if they will take action to protect Safari and iOS users.”]
