UK police charge man in connection with Anonymous DDoS attacks

Peter David Gibson, 22, has been charged with conspiracy to impair the operation of a computer or hinder access to a program or data. He was arrested on April 5th as part of a police investigation into a series of high profile DDoS attacks against various organisations. Companies such as eBay, Sony and Visa have been victims of the attacks. Taking part in a denial-of-service attack is illegal in many countries and punishable under the Computer Misuse Act in the UK, with a maximum sentence of 10 years in jail.”]
