Did Google engineer act irresponsibly over Microsoft zero-day disclosure?

A Google security engineer discovered a zero-day vulnerability in Windows XP on June 5th. The vulnerability could allow hackers to exploit a security hole in the Help and Support Center. Microsoft acknowledged receipt of Tavis Ormandys vulnerability report on the same day that he sent it to them. Five days after informing Microsoft of the security hole, he decided to make his findings public. Microsoft has published an advisory for its users while they investigate how to fix the problem. Some are wondering whether this was a responsible way for a Google employee to behave.”]
