Thieves Planted Malware to Hack ATMs Krebs on Security

Authorities in Macau, China, arrest two Ukrainian men accused of stealing $100,000 from ATMs. They used a device that was connected to a small laptop to insert malware into ATMs, authorities say. The thieves would then remove the device and collect the stolen card numbers and PINs. Attackers have been able to use external, physical access to install malware in ATMs in previous attacks of this sort.”]
