Hackers May Have Unearthed Dirt on Stanford Krebs on Security

Bank of Antigua, formerly owned by Stanford Group, was hacked in early 2008. Hackers used a series of Web servers leased out to criminal gangs for the purposes of breaking into customer databases belonging to banks and retailers. Among the purloined files is a listing of what appear to be ownership and balance information for tens of thousands of customer accounts. Most of the accounts were worth between $10,000 and $50,000 USD, more than a thousand accounts had balances between $100,000 to $900,000.”]
