Half Of British Broadband Users At Risk From Insecure Wireless Routers

Over half (54%) of British broadband users are concerned about the possibility of their router being hacked. Yet millions have kept the factory settings on their router. Women were less likely to update and change the settings. Men were more likely to have made these changes to their router than women. The majority (86%) of users opted to stick with the router provided by their ISP rather than purchase an alternative. Over 4.3 million routers around the world have some sort of security vulnerability, according to Avast.”]
