NASA hacker Gary McKinnon given a lifeline for now

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith refuses to extradite Gary McKinnon to the U.S. until Keir Starmer decides whether to prosecute him in the UK. McKinnon broke into computer systems belonging to NASA, Department of Defense, US Army, US Navy and US Army. He promised to plead guilty earlier this month to the Crown Prosecution Service that he would plead guilty, if tried in his country of birth. He has wriggled and squirmed time after time in his attempts to avoid extradition to the United States.”]
