How millions of DSL modems were hacked in Brazil, to pay for Rio prostitutes

More than 4.5 million home DSL routers in Brazil were found to have been silently hacked by cybercriminals last year. Fabio Assolini, a researcher for Kaspersky Labs, gave a presentation at the Virus Bulletin conference in Dallas last week. At some Brazilian ISPs, more than 1001 ADSL modems have been found to be in the sights of cyber criminals. At least 4 million Brazilian DSL routers have been hacked in the past year, according to Assolini’s presentation.”]
