UK loses 16,000 COVID-19 cases due to Excel spreadsheet snafu

Microsoft created Excel spreadsheet software limits as to just how big a spreadsheet could be. Microsofts own documentation, they set the following limits:1,048,576 rows by 16,384 columns. If you wanted to collect data on anything that came anywhere close to those limits you would probably want to use database software, not an Excel speadsheet. The problem was a failure in the counting system which has now been rectified. The missing figures are now being included in the UK’s daily Coronavirus statistics, showing a jump due to their failure to be included in previous days.”]
