iPhones and iPads vulnerable to hacking via malicious chargers

Researchers at Georgia Tech show how easy it is to build a malicious charger that can compromise iOS devices in less than 60 seconds. The only caveat is that the iPhone must be unlocked before the attack can begin. Apple has co-operated with the researchers with the intention of creating a fix for this security flaw. No fixes are yet available for officially-shipping versions of iOS, but the beta version of iOS 7 already displays a warning message to users if they attach their device to a possibly untrusted computer.”]
