A congressional report says China hacked U.S. weather satellites twice in 2007 and 2008. The Chinese are denying the accusations. The report cites a closed-door Air Force briefing by the Air Force. It doesn’t elaborate on the nature of the hackers’ interference with the satellites. The commission conducting the investigation fear that potential tinkering with more significant satellites could cause catastropic problems in the form of malfunctioning systems which depend on satellites, or the leak of secrets transmitted over communications satellites.”]
