T-Mobile and Sprint Head to Court to Defend Their Very Bad Megamerger

More than a dozen states are suing to stop a merger between Sprint and T-Mobile. The $26.5 billion deal would see the third- and fourth-largest U.S. telecoms companies merge. The Justice Department approved the merger in July, the Federal Communications Commission approved it last month. Several more states initially threw their support behind the lawsuits ahead of its scheduled trial date but ultimately pulled out after striking deals with other states. Top Democratic lawmakers have roundly criticized the deal, including presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.”]
