MacBook Magnetic MagSafe Connector Not So Safe After All

Apple’s “Safe” connector bursts into flames on a MacBook. Photos of the connector were posted on Flickr. The company asked the user to remove the photos, but he complied. The photos were removed voluntarily by the user, but there are still the pictures. Apple has since apologized for the incident, but it’s not clear if there were mitigating circumstances, such as cat hair or cat hair, to which many Mac users are unrepentant cat owners.
