A hacker named “smea” hacked the Lovense Hush sex toy at DEF CON in Las Vegas. He exploited a vulnerability found in the Bluetooth dongle used by the sex toy and its accompanying social software. The talk highlighted the question of whether it should be considered a sex crime to hack a buttplug and issue it commands absent the owners consent. In the end, he concluded that the threat may be almost nonexistent in the wild and that people should continue enjoying their buttplugs.”]
