DC and Warner Bros. have long held a copyright for the Batmobile, but Mark Towle argued that because the car was simply a modified automobile, that copyright was invalid. Judge Sandra Ikuta rejected the appeal of last years decision by Towle, who is seeking a permanent injunction preventing the production of more Batmobile replicas, and damages of around $750,000 per car.
