Tucson teen who found FaceTime bug gets reward from Apple

Tucson teen Grant Thompson, 14, found a glitch in FaceTime’s group chat that could turn iPhones into spying devices. The tech giant paid Thompson an undisclosed sum for finding the bug, as well as contributed money towards his education. Apple has said it awards bounties of up to $200,000 to people who discover serious breaches. Apple customers should install the 12.1.4 security update on their iPhone, iPad or iMac soon. The Thompsons said they still plan to use Apple products, but will be more wary in the future.”]
